Good business. Because we believe in it.
We think small when it comes to environmental impact, but think big when it comes to social impact. We love the world that we live in, and we like to do our bit. It’s as simple as that.
Every year we invest a percentage of our profit in innovative community and social change projects. We also supply our community partners with reclaimed building materials.
We employ best-practice sustainable building standards and are on our way to becoming Australia’s first carbon neutral building company. We research and use the cleanest and least impacting materials, recycle 90% of the waste we create and offset all of our carbon emissions.
We have pledged to go completely carbon neutral as an organisation and to offset our carbon for each project we work on. We work with an independent consultant to quantify and offset the carbon emissions for every one of our designs and job sites. So far we have offset 260 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Commercial construction is our specialty
These are a few of our favourite things: Retail centres, restaurant and office fit outs, community hubs, apartment complexes. We are also members of Master Builders Australia.
If a sustainable business is a good business, an environmentally sustainable business is a better one. Interface Sustainable Construction is a growing name in commercial construction. That’s because we want to change the world—in the right way—through our work. We innovate. We engage. We stretch ourselves with every project.
Every year we invest a portion of our profit in innovative community and social change projects. For the largest possible impact, we put that investment towards what we do best: sustainable construction.
Last year we worked with STREAT social enterprise to refit their McKillop Street café. The goal? To give STREAT the capacity to accept more at-risk youths into their hospitality skills program. Previous years’ partnerships include Kids Under Cover, Global Volunteer Network and the AYCC.
